Chinese Vice Premier Skips Meeting With Japanese Leader

After spending a week in Japan exploring the Aichi World Fair, courting Japanese investors and lunching with Toyota's chairman, Vice Premier Wu Yi of China decided today to fly home a few hours early, canceling a scheduled meeting with Japan's prime minister.
China's Foreign Ministry said Ms. Wu had to return home "to handle important urgent official duties".
